Are you an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step? A fantastic opportunity is available in the Thornton Cleveleys area to manage existing and new children's residential homes, with additional prospects for a dual home management role.
We are looking for a passionate, committed professional who can demonstrate strong leadership and a proven track record within children’s residential care. Candidates should have experience managing Ofsted-regulated homes, ideally with previous ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ inspection outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and day-to-day management of a children's residential home in line with Ofsted standards and regulations.
- Ensure safeguarding, emotional wellbeing, and developmental support of all children and young people in the home.
- Promote independence and responsibility among young people through participation in planning and daily routines.
- Ensure all care delivery is compliant with the Children’s Homes Regulations, Children’s Act, and Quality Standards.
- Lead and manage staff teams, including deployment, supervision, and ongoing development.
- Oversee all regulatory inspections, internal audits, and quality assurance measures.
- Manage transitions effectively, including admissions and discharges.
- Perform On-Call duties and chair relevant meetings.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Registered or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks and care standards.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Enhanced DBS check (funded as part of the role).
