Role and Responsibilities:
- Skilled in assessing mental health and risk, managing crises, and de-escalating challenging behaviours.
- Knowledgeable in psychopharmacology and physical health monitoring for young patients.
- Strong in active listening, clear communication with patients, families, and teams, and accurate documentation.
- Proficient in delivering evidence-based therapies and managing challenging behaviors.
- Competent in suicide prevention, safeguarding, and conflict resolution.
- Capable of building trust and therapeutic relationships with young patients and their families.
- Able to handle the emotional demands and rapidly changing situations in a high-pressure environment.
Nursing Qualifications and Requirements:
- PMVA trained
- BLS and ILS trained
- Hold a PIN number as a registered mental health nurse
- Non preceptor
- Fully enhanced valid DBS

Note: The hourly rate is paid via umbrella. We do have an option to accrue, a 'holiday pot', meaning you would have a build up of holiday to take when needed.
