Various shifts according to needs of the service:
Early 7am-2:30pm
Late 1:30pm-9pm
Long Days 7am-9pm
Nights 8:45pm-7:15am three long days or 5 early/late shifts. Predominantly days, occasional nights.
£22ph Weekdays, £26ph Saturdays and Nights, £30ph Sundays & Bank Holidays
Brook House is a long-term, independent-living service for people with learning disabilities. The four flats are located in Ottershaw, Chertsey.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will be an experienced and competent member of the Learning Disability team & will be expected to:
Provide leadership and management for staff within a Care Home with Nursing.
Being able to meet the regulatory requirements of Care Quality Commission (CQC)
Provide line management, including management of performance, for staff within the Service to ensure effective team performance including the setting and monitoring of the delivery of targets.
Ensure arrangements are in place for all staff to receive regular supervision, appraisal and have their personal development plans and training needs identified and where possible met.
Ensure that effective communication systems are established, maintained and monitored regularly within the service and between staff, families and other services/agencies/partners.
Lead and motivate staff to provide a pro-active and responsive high-quality service, contributing to ongoing audit and evaluation.
Ensure that the necessary systems & protocols for the delivery of a safe & supportive service are in place, understood & adhered to throughout the service, which include Safeguarding protocols.
Ensure that the agenda of social inclusion is reflected in interventions offered and implemented.
Develop and implement strategies that promote an environment of user involvement.
Demonstrate high levels of commitment to achieving excellent results shown through the successful implementation of service improvement initiatives driven by an effective Clinical Audit and effectiveness function.
Work with the Manager to agree clear and deliverable objectives and to ensure they are implemented and monitored.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, financial, health & safety and employment requirements, including ensuring that all staff fulfill the requirements of Statutory and Mandatory training.
Formulate Care Plans, Risk Assessments and other documents to ensure the people we support are safely cared for ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
Promote empowerment to ensure the people we support make their own choices.
Ensure service is delivered within agreed goals.
