Role summary –
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority for a Customer Service Agent to join the Repairs team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and customer service support in a fast-paced environment. This role involves processing and scheduling repairs, liaising with contractors and operatives, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and schedule repair requests, including manual intervention when needed.
- Handle incoming customer calls and emails professionally and in line with service targets.
- Maintain and update internal systems to ensure accuracy and avoid backlogs.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of works.
- Support the Repairs Team with administrative duties such as invoicing and surveys.
- Identify risks or concerns and escalate to management where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, health & safety, and safeguarding policies.
- Provide cover for other functions across the organisation as required.
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grade 4 or above.
- Previous administrative experience, ideally in a housing or repairs environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and other MS Office applications.
- Customer-focused, resilient, and adaptable.
