We are currently seeking an experienced Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor to join a London-based Council on a contract basis. You will be responsible for carrying out property inspections, diagnosing repairs, and ensuring works are completed to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct property surveys and diagnose repairs, defects, and maintenance requirements
- Apply extensive knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates codes when scoping works
- Record survey data using PDA devices and other IT systems
- Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of works
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and council standards
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records
- Proven surveying experience within housing repairs and maintenance
- Extensive knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates
- Experience using PDAs and strong general IT skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence desirable
