We are looking for compassionate, motivated, and committed individuals to join our team as Residential Social Care Workers supporting individuals with learning difficulties. About the Role:
As a Residential Social Care Worker, you will work as part of a dedicated care team, supporting residents with daily activities and individual care plans. You’ll contribute to a nurturing environment that encourages independence, social interaction, and emotional well-being. Occasionally, you may be required to take temporary responsibility for the home in the absence of senior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care and supervision in line with individual treatment and support plans.
- Need to be a driver due to location and need to drive client's electric car.
- Support residents with personal care, daily routines, and attending appointments.
- Engage residents in activities that promote independence and social skills.
- Assist with domestic duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and room tidying, encouraging resident involvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on residents’ behaviour, well-being, and interactions.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure fire safety and medical care protocols are followed.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Contribute to staff training, including supporting new team members and completing the Care Certificate.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
- A caring and patient approach with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Experience working in a residential care or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training, including the Care Certificate.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
