Location: Salford & Stockport
Salary: £13.50 per hour + £50 per sleep-in
Hours: 2 on / 4 off rota | Approx. 160 hours per month
Driver’s Licence: Preferred but not essential
Requirement: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) – Essential

We’re recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to help guide, mentor and support a team within a nurturing home for children with emotional and behavioural needs in Salford and Stockport. This is an incredible opportunity to take the next step in your care career with a clear pathway to management.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Acting as a shift leader, setting the tone and expectations for junior staff

  • Supporting the Registered Manager with compliance, team development, and safeguarding

  • Building strong and trusting relationships with children aged 8–18

  • Contributing to care planning, behaviour management and incident reporting

  • Ensuring a homely, therapeutic environment where children can grow and thrive

About You:
  • Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)

  • Strong experience working in a support role with vulnerable children

  • Confident leading a team, making decisions, and handling safeguarding concerns

  • Approachable, calm, and focused on positive outcomes

  • A driver’s licence is preferred but not essential
