Service Care Solutions are offering a unique Return to Social Work programme called Reignite Social Work which is exclusive to our agency! This programme is running from September in collaboration with South Gloucestershire Council.

We are looking to engage with anyone looking to return to a children's social worker position - if you live locally Bristol this would be ideal, but please don't be put off if you live further away; if you're open to relocating or commuting you can also be considered.

This bespoke route back into practising social work is a partnership between Service Care Solutions, South Gloucestershire Council and one of the best rated Social Work Universities in the country. If successful you will be offered a permanent contract with the local authority, formal distance learning (done with peers who are also going through the Reignite programme) and ongoing support on your journey with South Gloucestershire Council. It's guaranteed supervised practice with a manageable caseload, underpinned by 210 hours of long-arm direction & supervision from one of the top Social Work lecturers in the country; all coordinated and managed for you.

Teams available (full and part time available):

• Response Team (Assessment)
• Fostering
• Long Term Child Protection (Locality)
• 0-18 Children with Disabilities
• Looked After Children

You will initially start and be paid as a Social Work Assistant within the one of the teams above. Within this you will be provided with support, shadowing and formal training. Once you have successfully registered with Social Work England (after roughly 3 months), your employment terms will change to a Social Worker and your pay will reflect this (starting from £30,095 per annum)

You will need;

1. Degree in Social Work
2. Previous experience working as a children's social worker in any service (length of time since last role doesn't matter!)
3. The ability to work in South Gloucestershire consistently on a permanent contract
4. Social Care Wales/Social Work England Registration is NOT required to be successful
