SEND Senior Tribunals Officer
 
Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a SEND Senior Tribunals Officer in Kent.
 
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SEND Senior Tribunals Officer to join our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the council’s response to Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDT) appeals is comprehensive, coordinated, and timely.
 
This is a remote position.
 
Pay rate - £314.15 PAYE / £400 Umbrella per day
 
Main Responsibilities
 
As a SEND Senior Tribunals Officer you will be responsible for:
 
  • Draft and prepare Kent County Council’s response to SENDT appeals and judicial orders.
  • Represent the local authority at tribunal hearings.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and manage appeals effectively.
  • Lead multi-agency meetings as part of tribunal case preparation.
  • Track and report on appeal trends to inform strategic planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of specialist spending and case data.
  • Keep key databases, including Synergy, updated in real time.
  • Support additional duties aligned with the team’s objectives.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Educated to degree level in Law, Education, or a related field.
  • Experienced in handling complex, sensitive matters with parents, carers, schools, and partner agencies.
  • Skilled in communication, both written and verbal, across a wide range of audiences.
