An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Senior Building Surveyor to join a forward-thinking Housing Association in North London. This is a varied and rewarding role within the Assets and Repairs Team, part of the wider Housing and Neighbourhoods directorate. You will lead on complex cases, support surveyors with challenging jobs, and ensure homes remain safe, well-maintained, and future-proofed.

The role will suit someone with an eye for detail, a head for problem-solving, and the ability to manage competing priorities—while keeping residents at the heart of everything you do.
Responsibilities
- Lead on complex repairs, disrepair, and service-related complaints, ensuring they are resolved professionally, within timescales, and to a high standard.
- Support surveyors with problematic jobs to achieve successful outcomes.
- Authorise works, approve payments, and resolve disputes while protecting the organisation’s interests.
- Carry out post-works inspections to assess quality, value for money, and resident satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent repairs, voids, and planned works services.
- Qualified Building Surveyor with relevant experience in housing or property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of repairs, disrepair, damp/mould, and planned maintenance.
- Experience using IT/case management systems to manage workloads effectively.
- Ability to manage a busy workload with competing deadlines, while maintaining quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and a resident-focused approach.
