A Council in Hampshire is currently seeking a Senior Planner for a short-term contract to support their development management team on strategic and major applications.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional who can hit the ground running, take ownership of complex caseloads, and play a key role in shaping large-scale development across the district.
What they’re looking for:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in Development Management at Senior Planner level or above
- Strong local authority experience
- Proven ability in managing strategic/major planning applications
- Confident presenting complex cases at Planning Committee and responding to Member queries
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement with agents, parish/town councils, and elected Members
- A self-starter, able to work independently and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
