Our client, a local authority based in Portsmouth are looking for a Senior Transport Planner to join their team. This is on a temporary ongoing contract basis.

The purpose of the role is to:

• Be responsible for the drafting Traffic Regulation Orders to control parking, speed and traffic movements as well as providing expert advice on resolving complex parking issues and assisting with the delivery of the Council's Residents' Parking Programme
• Drafting traffic regulation orders for parking , speed restrictions and traffic movements
• Project management and delivery of projects related to the Council's Residents' Parking Programme
• Developing future phases of projects to enable delivery of the ambitious long-term Programme

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

A degree/HND or equivalent would be ideal but not essential.

Previous experience of Transport Planning dealing with TROs.
