Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Social Care Access Officer in Newham.
You’ll be part of the Access to Adult Social Care Team, responsible for managing incoming adult social care referrals via a busy telephony-based front office. You’ll work closely with internal teams, professionals, and the public to provide timely information, complete initial assessments, and triage safeguarding concerns in line with best practice.
Pay rate - £14.88 PAYE / £18.33 Umbrella
Main Responsibilities
As a Social Care Access Officer you will be responsible for:
- Act as the first point of contact for adult social care enquiries.
- Handle sensitive and complex situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Contribute to safeguarding adults by recognising risks and escalating appropriately.
- Use IT systems to record, manage and retrieve customer information.
- Work collaboratively with team members and partners to maintain a seamless service.
- Support continuous service improvement by acting on customer feedback and identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Represent the service at community outreach events and meetings.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within health or social care.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Occasional evening and weekend work.
