Rate: £45 per hour or 34.83 PAYE
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team on a 13-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in the care system while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Role Overview As a Qualified Social Worker (Children) – Band H–J, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people in care. You will bring expertise in assessment, care planning, and relationship-building to ensure each child’s needs are understood and met effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- 🧒 Child-Centered Support
Deliver assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with best practice and statutory requirements. - 🏠 Home Visits & Reviews
Conduct regular visits and review meetings to assess the child’s well-being and progress. - 👥 Relationship Building
Build trusting relationships with children, families, and multi-agency professionals. - 🤝 Multi-Agency Collaboration
Work in partnership with education, health, and other professionals to support the child’s development and outcomes. - 📋 Accurate Record-Keeping
Maintain timely and thorough records of assessments, visits, and decisions in line with professional standards.
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience working with children in care or within children’s services
- Strong communication, assessment, and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and child-centered practice
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and work under pressure
