Are you a dedicated Experienced Social Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults, children, and families? Wirral Council is seeking skilled and passionate social workers to join our Families and Wellbeing team.
About the Role In this role, you will independently manage a varied caseload and carry out complex community care and safeguarding assessments. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of individuals across the borough. You'll work collaboratively with multi-agency partners and provide expert guidance to support decision-making and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake statutory safeguarding duties and complex assessments with a focus on risk, protection, and promoting independence.
- Deliver services that empower individuals, families, and communities through access to universal and commissioned support.
- Apply evidence-based practice and critical analysis in all areas of work.
- Collaborate across departments and agencies to ensure seamless, holistic care planning.
- Provide professional input and share expertise within your team and wider networks.
- Maintain accurate records in line with legal and organisational standards.
- Promote positive outcomes while managing complex needs and risk.
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration (formerly HCPC).
- Proven experience working with complex safeguarding and community care cases.
- Strong analytical, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute within multidisciplinary settings.
