Decision Maker - MASH Part Time Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Decision Maker - MASH to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be required to work on Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 5:00pm at a rate of £36 per hour.

Job Summary:

As a Decision Maker - MASH, you will be responsible for triaging referrals, making MASH enquiries, and speaking to parents and agencies to assess whether a family meets the threshold for statutory child protection. You will also be required to provide direction to MASH Officers and make threshold recommendations. This is a hybrid working role, with some flexibility to work from home and some days spent at our office at the Criminal Justice Centre in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage referrals and make MASH enquiries
  • Speak to parents and agencies to assess threshold for statutory child protection
  • Provide direction to MASH Officers
  • Make threshold recommendations
  • Work closely with other agencies to ensure effective collaboration and communication
Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in child protection or social care
  • Strong understanding of child protection and children's social care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think on your feet and work under pressure
  • Familiarity with MASH processes and procedures
