We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Decision Maker - MASH to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be required to work on Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 5:00pm at a rate of £36 per hour.
Job Summary:
As a Decision Maker - MASH, you will be responsible for triaging referrals, making MASH enquiries, and speaking to parents and agencies to assess whether a family meets the threshold for statutory child protection. You will also be required to provide direction to MASH Officers and make threshold recommendations. This is a hybrid working role, with some flexibility to work from home and some days spent at our office at the Criminal Justice Centre in Northampton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage referrals and make MASH enquiries
- Speak to parents and agencies to assess threshold for statutory child protection
- Provide direction to MASH Officers
- Make threshold recommendations
- Work closely with other agencies to ensure effective collaboration and communication
- Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in child protection or social care
- Strong understanding of child protection and children's social care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think on your feet and work under pressure
- Familiarity with MASH processes and procedures
- Competitive hourly rate of £36 per hour
