Street Lighting Engineer

Job Description

A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Street Lighting Engineer to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a highways environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide an effective technical consultancy function for the assigned service area,

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist with the management of the Street Lighting PFI contract inclusive of review Monthly faults mitigation.
  • Assist with the management of additional works commissioned to the PFI contractor.
  • Review proposals for new installations / schemes.
  • Review of the complaint received on the CRM system.
  • Produce performance reports and undertake quality checks.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require experience working within a similar highway maintenance background ideally within Street Lighting or similar - PFI / Term Maintenance contracts / Frameworks.

The below experience would be beneficial for the role:

  • Qualified to the required standard with demonstrable experience.
  • Assess asset management and central management systems.
  • Liaise with colleagues and developers for new sites and impact on existing apparatus.
  • Maintenance of non-PFI related apparatus.
  • Manage the festive light contract.
  • Support Neighbourhood teams with Festive lighting works.as well as Service enquiries.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £28 - £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
