JOB TITLE: Tenancy Support Worker
LOCATION: Sheffield
CONTRACT TYPE: Temp
WEEKLY HOURS: 37 Hours
WORK PATTERN: 7.45am - 5pm (Rota Basis)

JOB SUMMARY:
The focus of the role is to prevent homelessness, we want to provide safe accommodation helping and supporting people to manage their temporary tenancies, which may lead to a permanent successful tenancy in the future. The ideal candidate will enjoy both working on their own and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will have experience or awareness of housing support needs for vulnerable people, and issues that lead to homelessness, you must understand the importance and benefits of working in partnership with internal and external providers.
RESPONSABILTIES:

  • To undertake comprehensive assessments of all family members, identify the training and support needs of service users and to develop detailed support plans and contracts to achieve the aims of the Service.
  • To be responsible for a caseload of an identified client group as allocated by a line manager or supervisor, whilst ensuring cover for the Service in general.
  • To ensure that service users understand their responsibilities as tenants including to their accommodation, furnishings or equipment, their landlord and their neighbours.
  • To plan, deliver and review group work and training programmes for families and individuals to achieve the aims of the Service.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Able to maintain constructive relationships with other agencies and individuals in difficult circumstances.
  • Good levels of communication both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels.
  • Ability to make an in-depth assessment of needs and risks


Also, will be required to go through an enhanced DBS check.
Rota Basis (7.45am - 5pm)
