Working in Norwich, Norfolk (NR1 2DH), the role involves supporting vulnerable adults with physical disabilities and older people. The contract length is initially 2 weeks, with potential to extend based on service requirements. Responsibilities for the Adult Social Worker (OSCAR)**

As an Adult Social Worker (OSCAR), your daily responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse community caseload involving adults with physical disabilities and older people
• Undertaking Care Act assessments and reviews
• Conducting Mental Capacity Act assessments and best interest decisions
• Completing safeguarding enquiries to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults
• Producing outcome-focused support plans tailored to individual needs
• Collaborating effectively with health professionals and partner agencies
• Delivering timely and proportionate interventions to promote independence and wellbeing
• Working within the principles of Community Led Support (CLS), focusing on community-based solutions and early intervention

Candidate Requirements for the Adult Social Worker (OSCAR)

To be successful as an Adult Social Worker (OSCAR), you must possess:

• Social Work England registration
• Qualified Social Worker status
• Experience working with adults with physical disabilities and older adults
• Sound knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures
• Strong assessment, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with Norfolk County Council systems is an advantage
