Adults Senior Social Worker - Job Overview

As an Adults Senior Social Worker, you will support the delivery of strengths-based adult social care through comprehensive assessments, care planning, and effective interventions. You will work closely with a team of professionals to help prevent escalation of needs while promoting independence for service users. Candidate Responsibilities – Adults Senior Social Worker

  • Conduct thorough assessments of adults facing complex challenges to determine their needs and strengths.
  • Develop person-centered support plans collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Work proactively to prevent escalation of needs by delivering timely, effective interventions.
  • Liaise regularly with multidisciplinary teams including social care, mental health professionals, police, voluntary organisations, and occupational therapists.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory and organisational policies.
  • Support safeguarding procedures and promote service user empowerment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant social work experience.
  • Social Worker qualification as per JDPS.
  • Proven experience supporting adults through complex challenges.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to change.
  • Valid references covering at least 3 years and no employment gaps.
