Assistant Occupational Therapist – Reablement Team Enfield (Contract - 2 Weeks)

Are you an enthusiastic Assistant Occupational Therapist seeking a fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful difference? Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an Assistant Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated Reablement Team based in Enfield. This 2-week contract offers a fantastic chance to work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, helping individuals regain independence and enhance their quality of life.

About the Role

The Assistant Occupational Therapist will support qualified professionals in delivering community-based reablement services. Your primary focus will be assessing service users’ needs and implementing tailored interventions to promote independence and reduce long-term care dependence. This role requires travel across Enfield to visit clients in their homes, making your ability to work independently alongside supporting a team essential.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Assist Occupational Therapists with functional assessments and reablement interventions
  • Support the delivery of person-centred reablement plans to help individuals regain daily living skills
  • Provide guidance on the safe use of equipment, aids, and minor adaptations
  • Monitor and record service user progress, reporting any concerns or changes
  • Collaborate closely with service users, families, carers, and healthcare professionals
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choices at all times
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in health, social care, or rehabilitation settings
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles or reablement services
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in a community-based role
  • Knowledge of moving and handling techniques
  • Familiarity with local authority or NHS service delivery models
