Child Protection Social Worker – Permanent Location: Trafford Council
Salary: £37,280 – £42,839 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join Trafford Council on a permanent basis.
Role Overview As a key member of the Child Protection Team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at risk. You will manage a varied caseload and work closely with families, multi-agency professionals, and partner organisations to ensure positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: £37,280 – £42,839 per annum

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Child Protection investigations and assessments
- Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need plans, and care proceedings
- Complete statutory visits, reports, and court work to a high professional standard
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
- Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified permanent experience within Children’s Services
- Recent experience working in a Child Protection / Safeguarding team
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills
