Bradford Children and Families Trust is expanding its Children in Care Service and is looking for dedicated Social Workers to join its Corporate Parenting teams.
This is an exciting time to join the service following a significant restructure that has created three new Children in Care teams, bringing the total to 10 teams supporting children and young people aged 0-18. The new structure provides greater continuity for children, stronger relationships, and improved outcomes throughout their journey in care.
As a Child in Care Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people to achieve permanence, stability, and positive futures. Working within a supportive team environment, you'll build meaningful relationships with children, carers, families, and partner agencies to ensure every child receives the care, education, health, and emotional support they deserve.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a caseload of children in care.
- Undertaking statutory visits and care planning.
- Driving permanence planning and achieving the best long-term outcomes for children.
- Working closely with foster carers, families, schools, and health professionals.
- Championing the voice of the child and ensuring their needs remain at the centre of all decision-making.
- Supporting children and young people to achieve stability, safety, and positive life chances.
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience within Children's Social Care, ideally Children in Care, Safeguarding, or Locality Services.
- Strong assessment, planning, and relationship-building skills.
- A child-centred practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
