Children Occupational Therapist – Rochdale Council (2-Week Contract)

Children Occupational Therapist – Key Responsibilities
As a Children Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive holistic assessments for children and young people with disabilities
- Recommending and providing specialist equipment such as seating, bathing, toileting, and moving & handling aids
- Assessing and advising on minor and major home adaptations to enhance safety and independence
- Collaborating closely with families, carers, education, health professionals, and partner agencies
- Delivering child-centred interventions aimed at improving independence, mobility, and quality of life
Children Occupational Therapist – Requirements
The ideal Children Occupational Therapist will possess:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience managing an independent caseload within a similar setting
- Knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptations
- Experience working with children’s equipment (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multi-agency teams
