Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Children's Duty & Assessment Social Worker to join a well-established Children's Services team in St. Helens.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive service offering a competitive hourly rate alongside a genuinely flexible hybrid working arrangement.
The Role You will be part of one of four Duty & Assessment teams, with each team covering one week on duty as part of a four-week rota. The role involves completing assessments, managing child protection enquiries, undertaking statutory visits, and working closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and support families.

- Office attendance is required one week in every four while your team is covering duty.
- During the remaining three weeks, you will have the flexibility to manage your workload around statutory visits, meetings, training, and other service commitments.
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience working within Children's Duty & Assessment or Front Door services.
- Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced statutory environment.
