Children's MASH Social Worker
Conwy County Borough Council
Location: Conwy
Rate: £30.50 per hour PAYE / £39.95 per hour Umbrella
Contract: 12 weeks initially, with the possibility of extension
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Arrangement: Office-based, 5 days per week
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Children's MASH Social Worker to join Conwy County Borough Council's Children, Families and Safeguarding Service.
The successful candidate will work within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), delivering a high-quality duty social work service to children and families at the front-door referral stage. You will support the Team Manager with the triage of referrals, undertaking appropriate interventions and contributing to decision-making at the point of entry into services.
The role will be carried out in accordance with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and the All Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality duty social work service within the MASH Team.
- Triage referrals and assess safeguarding concerns.
- Support decision-making at the front door of Children's Services.
- Undertake short-term interventions and signposting where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and young people.
- Complete assessments and interventions in line with statutory requirements.
- Qualified Social Worker.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience.
- Registered with Social Care Wales.
- Child Protection experience.
- Section 47 (S47) trained and experienced.
- Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Competent with technology and case management systems.
- Able to work full-time from the office in Colwyn Bay.
- Welsh speaking is desirable but not essential.
- Candidates should live locally or within a commutable distance of Conwy County.
