Children's Social Worker - Children in Care

Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are currently seeking a committed Children in Care Social Worker to join our team in our client on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a restructured and innovative service, focused on delivering the best outcomes for children and young people.

About the Role:
As a Children in Care Social Worker, you will be part of our client Children and Families Trust's newly restructured service, operating across ages 0–18. You will work within one of our three new children in care teams, which focus on providing continuity, stability, and positive outcomes for children in care. The role involves executing corporate parenting responsibilities, ensuring children receive appropriate support, education, healthcare, and working towards securing permanence as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cases involving children in care, ensuring all statutory and safeguarding responsibilities are met.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with foster carers, families, and external agencies to support the children in your caseload.
  • Advocate for children's needs and ensure their voices are heard throughout the care process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, adhering to all compliance standards.
  • Promote permanency planning and facilitate placements that provide the most suitable environment for each child.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (Social Worker registration relevant to your region).
  • Experience working with children in care and knowledge of current legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children.
