(£30.79 – £34.27 PAYE inclusive / £27.48 – £30.58 PAYE exclusive)
3 month ongoing contract

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a Local Authority in Manchester, for experienced Social Workers to work across a range of Children’s Services teams.

Available Teams We are currently recruiting Social Workers for the following areas:

• Integrated Front Door (IFD)
• Safeguarding
• Court & Locality Teams
• Looked After Children (LAC)

Pay rates will vary between £35–£39 per hour (umbrella) depending on the team and level of experience.

Role Overview As a Children’s Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload in line with statutory responsibilities, completing assessments and interventions, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Completing statutory assessments and care planning
• Managing CIN, CP, Court, or LAC cases (depending on team)
• Undertaking safeguarding investigations
• Preparing reports and attending meetings and court where required
• Working in line with legislation, guidance, and local policies

Requirements

• Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent)
• Registration with Social Work England
• Recent experience within Children’s Social Care
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and statutory frameworks
• Right to work in the UK

Contract Details

• Initial 3 month contract, ongoing
• Competitive pay rates depending on role and experience
