Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a Local Authority in Manchester, for experienced Social Workers to work across a range of Children’s Services teams.
Available Teams We are currently recruiting Social Workers for the following areas:
Role Overview As a Children’s Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload in line with statutory responsibilities, completing assessments and interventions, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

- Integrated Front Door (IFD)
- Safeguarding
- Court & Locality Teams
- Looked After Children (LAC)
Role Overview As a Children’s Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload in line with statutory responsibilities, completing assessments and interventions, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Completing statutory assessments and care planning
- Managing CIN, CP, Court, or LAC cases (depending on team)
- Undertaking safeguarding investigations
- Preparing reports and attending meetings and court where required
- Working in line with legislation, guidance, and local policies
- Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Recent experience within Children’s Social Care
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and statutory frameworks
- Right to work in the UK
- Initial 3 month contract, ongoing
- Competitive pay rates depending on role and experience
