Children’s Social Worker – Looked After Children
Location: Southend (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £39,152 – £45,091 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Southend for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their Looked After Children team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of looked after children in line with statutory requirements
- Undertake assessments, care planning and reviews
- Work collaboratively with families, carers and multi-agency professionals
- Promote stability and permanence for children in care
- Ensure safeguarding standards are maintained at all times
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working within a Looked After Children team
- Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks
- Ability to manage a varied caseload
- Hybrid working – minimum of 2 days onsite
