Salary: £38,220 - £46,142 per annum + £3000 Retention Payment
About the Role:
As a Corporate Parenting / Children in Care Social Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to children and young people aged 0-18 within our client refreshed Children in Care service. Our client Children and Families Trust has restructured its teams to ensure better continuity and improved outcomes for children, and this role is vital to supporting that mission.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in care, providing advocacy, support, and appropriate interventions.
- Assist children and young people in achieving stability and permanency through fostering, adoption, or other suitable arrangements.
- Ensure all statutory duties related to Children in Care are met, including care planning, reviews, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with families, foster carers, schools, and healthcare providers to deliver a holistic support plan.
- Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to senior decision-making panels such as care planning reviews and placement meetings.
Candidate Requirements:
- Social and Healthcare qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, CSS, Degree in Social Work).
- Proven experience working with Children in Care.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding policies, legal frameworks, and statutory duties.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
