Deputy Children's Home Manager Salary: £37,640 - £41,315 per annum
Location: East Sussex

Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established provider of therapeutic residential childcare for an experienced Deputy Children's Home Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or an existing Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career with a provider that is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in leading a dedicated team, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring children receive the safe, nurturing and supportive environment they deserve.

The Role As Deputy Manager, you will:

• Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the children's home.
  
  
• Lead shifts, supervise staff and contribute to team development.
  
  
• Assist with staff rotas, meetings and performance management.
  
  
• Ensure care plans, placement plans and risk assessments are implemented and regularly reviewed.
  
  
• Promote positive outcomes in education, health and emotional wellbeing.
  
  
• Safeguard children and ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant legislation.
  
  
• Build positive relationships with children, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
  
  

About You To be considered, you should have:

• A minimum age of 22 years (to meet Ofsted regulations).
  
  
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  
  
• At least 2 years' experience working within children's residential care.
  
  
• Experience supporting and leading staff within a residential setting.
  
  
• A full UK manual driving licence.
  
  
• A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
