Service Care Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Director of Adult Social Care to lead the future of adult social care across Bath & North East Somerset.

About the Role
As Director of Adult Social Care, you will provide strategic leadership across:

• Statutory adult social care services
• Adult safeguarding
• Transformation and service improvement programmes
• Health and social care integration
• Prevention, early intervention and community-based models of delivery
• Innovation and the use of technology to improve outcomes

Working alongside the Director of Public Health and Director of Children’s Services within the People service, you will help lead across the whole system, influence long-term policy and strategic thinking, and ensure adult social care remains focused on independence, wellbeing and resilience.

As a member of the council’s Corporate Management Team, you will play a direct role in shaping the council’s overall strategic direction and collective leadership.

You will work collaboratively across the organisation and with partners in the NHS, voluntary and community sectors, demonstrating bold leadership, compassionate values and a commitment to delivering change at scale.

About You
We are looking for an experienced and accomplished senior leader who can step confidently into a significant and complex local authority role.
You will bring:

• Strong strategic leadership experience within adult social care or a closely related environment
• The credibility, judgement and presence to operate at corporate and system level
• Experience working effectively with elected members and senior stakeholders
• The ability to navigate complexity and influence across organisational boundaries
• A strong understanding of statutory adult social care and safeguarding
• A proven commitment to improving outcomes for residents and communities
• The vision and drive to lead innovation, prevention and transformation
