Position Overview: Experienced Social Worker (Adults) – Grade I

As an Experienced Social Worker (Adults) – Grade I, your primary responsibility will be to undertake section 42 safeguarding enquiries. You will play a crucial role in adult safeguarding, ensuring vulnerable adults are protected through thorough investigations and risk assessments. Your expertise will support multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate community safeguarding efforts effectively, working closely with care homes and nursing facilities.

Candidate Responsibilities for the Experienced Social Worker (Adults) – Grade I

• Conduct section 42 safeguarding enquiries to investigate adult safeguarding concerns.
• Manage and assess risks associated with safeguarding cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health and social care professionals.
• Engage with care homes, nursing homes, and community settings to promote safeguarding principles.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate case documentation.
• Provide advice and support to team colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Candidate Requirements for the Experienced Social Worker (Adults) – Grade I

• Qualified social worker registration (e.g., HCPC registration in the UK).
• Proven experience in adult safeguarding and community safeguarding work.
• Strong knowledge of adult protection legislation, particularly section 42 enquiries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Availability to start immediately for a 2-week assignment.
