Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Lancashire County Council for an experienced Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding / Child Protection Team on an ongoing temporary basis.
Job Description As a Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding and Child Protection Team, you will work with children and families where there are safeguarding concerns, ensuring that risks are identified and managed effectively. You will complete statutory assessments and interventions in line with legislation, policy, and best practice to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking Child and Family Assessments
- Managing Child Protection and Child in Need plans
- Completing Section 47 enquiries
- Undertaking direct work with children and families
- Attending and contributing to case conferences, core groups, and court proceedings
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and high quality case records
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Recent experience within Family Safeguarding or Child Protection teams
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory processes
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload effectively
- The right to work in the UK
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 3?month ongoing contract
