We are currently recruiting Female Support Worker to work in a welcoming residential home in Egremont, supporting five women with learning disabilities and complex needs to live happy, fulfilling and as-independent-as-possible lives. Every person has their own personality, interests and aspirations, meaning no two days are the same. You’ll be joining a friendly, experienced team that is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support and helping the women make their own choices, build confidence and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Your Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
Shift TimesDay/Sleep-In Shift: 08:00 – 23:00, followed by a paid overnight sleep-in from 23:00 – 07:00, with handover until 08:00.
Waking Night: 20:00 – 08:00

About the People You’ll Support
The women have a range of individual support needs, including:
- Learning disabilities and associated health needs
- Complex care and support requirements
- Physical disabilities – including three individuals who use wheelchairs
- Visual impairment – including one person who is registered blind
- Limited verbal communication, with some individuals using alternative methods to communicate
- Support with developing independence, daily living skills and community involvement
Your Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Provide person-centred support with personal care and daily living
- Support with cooking, household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home
- Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling where required
- Support with medication, where trained and authorised
- Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
- Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support
- Support individuals to access activities, hobbies and the local community
- Communicate effectively with individuals who may have limited verbal communication
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure consistent, high-quality support

Essential Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience working in healthcare, social care or supported living
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- Minimum 6 months' UK care experience
- Experience of personal care and supporting daily living
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full Right to Work in the UK – no sponsorship available
- Lone working
- Safe moving and handling
- Medication administration
- Experience supporting people with physical disabilities or communication difficulties
