GP Receptionist – Flexible Locum Opportunity

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced GP Receptionist's to support our client's General Practice on a flexible, ad hoc locum basis.

📍 Location: Manchester & Cheshire – Various Sites
💷 Pay: From £16.88 per hour via Umbrella
🕐 Hours: Flexible & Ad Hoc
💻 System: EMIS


Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of the GP Practice team in a professional manner, providing a high-quality reception, administrative and support service to patients, visitors and clients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, offering appropriate advice and proactively signposting them to the most suitable clinician or service.
• Identify patients or callers who may require an immediate emergency response and escalate appropriately.
• Answer telephone calls and process online patient requests, accurately recording all relevant information on the clinical system.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming and patient-focused approach at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a GP Receptionist, ideally within an NHS or GP surgery setting
• Good understanding of medical terminology.
• Good working knowledge of EMIS.
• Excellent IT and computer skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider practice team.
