Working Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Potential to increase to 5 days per week

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS5 Psychology Teacher to join a large and well-established secondary school in Harrogate on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Psychology lessons at Key Stage 5, supporting students with their academic progress and preparing them effectively for their examinations.

The Role
  • Teach Psychology across KS5, including A Level.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons.
  • Complete marking and assessment in line with school expectations.
  • Provide students with constructive and meaningful feedback.
  • Support students with exam preparation, revision and coursework where required.
  • Monitor and track student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the Psychology department and wider teaching team.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and student engagement.
Working Pattern The initial requirement is for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the possibility of the role increasing to 5 days per week depending on the school's requirements.

This is a long-term booking, offering the opportunity for the successful teacher to become an established member of the school's Psychology department.

The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a teacher who:

  • Has experience teaching Psychology at KS5/A Level.
  • Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Psychology.
  • Can plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Is confident undertaking marking, assessment and feedback.
  • Has high expectations of students.
  • Is organised, reliable and committed to a long-term position.
  • Works effectively as part of a large school and department.
  • Holds QTS or equivalent teaching status
The School You will be joining a large school in Harrogate, working alongside an established and supportive teaching team. The school is seeking a committed Psychology Teacher who can provide consistency and high-quality teaching to its KS5 students.
