Learning Disability Social Worker – Contract Opportunity (2 Weeks)
Are you a dedicated and experienced Learning Disability Social Worker seeking a short-term contract? We are currently recruiting for a Learning Disability Social Worker to join a dynamic team for an initial 2-week contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified social worker with relevant experience to contribute to vital safeguarding and assessment work within the learning disabilities sector.

Responsibilities of the Learning Disability Social Worker
As a Learning Disability Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014 to ensure individual wellbeing and safety.
- Acting as a safeguarding lead, coordinating safeguarding enquiries and ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Supporting individuals with learning disabilities through person-centred planning and support arrangements.
- Managing a caseload with sensitivity and professionalism, in line with legal and organisational policies.
- Covering duty shifts as required, including office-based tasks to support team operations.
- Working within a flexible working policy, with up to two days remote work and three days in the office.
- Participating in multi-agency safeguarding procedures and team meetings to ensure best outcomes.
Candidate Responsibilities for the Learning Disability Social Worker
- Hold relevant social work qualifications and registration.
- Demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience working with learning disabilities.
- Have substantial experience in safeguarding, enquiries, assessments, and reviews under the Care Act 2014.
- Be an effective communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Be able to work flexibly, including covering duty shifts and office-based tasks when required.
- Have a good understanding of relevant local policies and procedures.
