Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Lancashire County Council for an experienced Social Worker to join their Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a temporary ongoing basis.
Job Description As a Social Worker within the MASH Team, you will play a key role in safeguarding children by screening and reviewing referrals, sharing intelligence, and making timely decisions regarding risk and appropriate interventions. You will work closely with partner agencies including police, health, education, and early help services to ensure effective multi agency responses.
Key responsibilities include:

- Screening and analysing referrals and contacts concerning children and families
- Making informed decisions regarding thresholds and next steps
- Undertaking safeguarding checks and risk assessments
- Sharing information with partner agencies in line with safeguarding procedures
- Providing professional advice and recommendations
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and high?quality case records
- Ensuring swift and proportionate responses to safeguarding concerns
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Recent experience working within a MASH or frontline safeguarding team
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, thresholds, and statutory guidance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast?paced, multi agency environment
- Excellent communication and decision?making skills
- The right to work in the UK
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 3 month ongoing contract
