Occupational Therapist – Assessment, Safeguarding & Disability Team Location: Oxford

Pay Rate: Up to £35 per hour Umbrella (£30.50 per hour PAYE)

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a Local Authority Assessment, Safeguarding & Disability Team in Oxford.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and professional team, carrying out assessments and supporting adults to maintain their independence while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments.
• Complete moving and handling assessments.
• Recommend specialist equipment and home adaptations.
• Support adults with disabilities, long-term conditions, and complex care needs.
• Contribute to safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments.
• Develop and review person-centred support plans.
• Work closely with service users, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration.
• Previous experience within Adult Social Care or a Local Authority setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and disability services.
• Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
