Occupational Therapist – Permanent Position in Hillingdon

Are you a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Service Care Solutions is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team within a specialist educational setting in Hillingdon. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with pupils aged 11–19 who have Autism, SEMH needs, and developmental trauma, delivering high-quality, person-centred interventions tailored to individual needs.

Occupational Therapist – Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a busy and diverse Occupational Therapy caseload within a secondary school environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and design bespoke interventions for pupils based on their unique needs.
  • Collaborate closely with education staff, multidisciplinary teams, and families to ensure holistic support.
  • Support pupils with neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and SEMH needs to achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to staff training, consultation, and whole-school initiatives centered around wellbeing and development.
  • Adhere to the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working framework.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed clinical records in compliance with professional standards and best practice guidelines.

Candidate Responsibilities and Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration and membership of RCOT.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a school or SEN setting.
  • Strong experience working with autistic children and young people.
  • Knowledge of sensory needs, motor skills, neurodivergence, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD.
  • Desirable: 3+ years’ experience and postgraduate training in Sensory Integration or developmental trauma.
