Occupational Therapist – Wigan (Local Authority) – Contract (2 Weeks)

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding contract opportunity? Service Care Solutions is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a Local Authority in Wigan for an initial 2-week contract. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to Early Intervention Integrated Services, including Reablement, Equipment & Adaptations, and Assistive Technology, helping service users maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Wigan
Employment Type: Contract (2 weeks)
Pay Rate: £35 per hour Umbrella / £27.48 PAYE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Candidate Responsibilities for the Occupational Therapist:

• Conduct functional assessments for both adults and children to identify support needs.
• Recommend and arrange for equipment and home adaptations to promote independence.
• Support service users through reablement and early intervention initiatives.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enhance wellbeing and independence for service users.
• Support individuals facing difficulties with daily living activities by providing tailored interventions.

Candidate Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:

• Proven experience in assessment, equipment provision, and adaptations.
• Strong understanding of promoting independence and functional ability.
• Experience working with both adults and children is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Full-time availability preferred; part-time consideration will be assessed.
• Immediate start preferred.
