Occupational Therapist (Nik) – Rehousing Team – Manchester

Service Care Solutions is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a Local Authority Rehousing Team in Manchester. This is an excellent chance to make a difference in residents’ lives by supporting those with disabilities, long-term health conditions, and complex needs through comprehensive assessments and recommendations.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Nik)
Location: Manchester
Contract Length: 2 weeks
Contract Type: Contract (Ongoing)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella)

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Undertake functional and housing needs assessments.
• Assess how disabilities and health conditions impact an individual’s ability to live safely and independently within their home.
• Provide professional recommendations to support rehousing decisions.
• Complete detailed assessment reports and maintain accurate records.
• Work collaboratively with housing teams, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
• Support residents in accessing suitable accommodation that meets their assessed needs.
• Ensure practice complies with relevant legislation, guidance, and local authority policies.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Previous experience within community, housing, social care, or local authority services.
• Strong assessment, report-writing, and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.

Desirable:

• Previous experience within Rehousing, Adaptations, or Housing OT services.
• Knowledge of housing legislation and disabled adaptations.
• Local Authority experience.
