Location: Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council (Office-based – Spindles, Oldham)
Salary: £36,648 – £39,186 per annum
Contract: Permanent

About the role As a Duty & Advice Social Worker within our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), you will work in a co-located, collaborative environment alongside partners including Police, Health, Community Safety, Adult Social Care, IDVA and the Prevention Hub.
You will:

• Respond to contacts received by MASH in a timely and effective manner
• Gather and analyse information from families, professionals, and members of the public
• Make clear, evidence-based decisions in line with statutory duties and practice standards
• Identify appropriate services to safeguard and support children and families
• Confidently assess thresholds and determine next steps

This fast-paced role requires strong communication skills, sound judgement, and a solid understanding of statutory social work responsibilities.
