About the Role: The Permanent Mental Health Assistant Team Manager
As a Permanent Mental Health Assistant Team Manager, your primary responsibilities will include assisting the Senior Urgent Manager (SUM) and Team Manager in the organization, management, and supervision of social care services. You will play a key role in strategic planning, service development, and ensuring the delivery of services in accordance with legislation, guidance, and local procedures. Your efforts will help improve service user outcomes based on feedback and performance data, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of mental health services.
Candidate Responsibilities for the Permanent Mental Health Assistant Team Manager
- Assist the Team Manager in leading and supervising the mental health team effectively
- Contribute to strategic planning, service development, and continuous improvement
- Ensure legal compliance and adherence to regulations, standards, and local policies
- Supervise staff, offering practice support and managing performance
- Contribute to high-quality service delivery by incorporating service user and stakeholder feedback
- Support resource management and team development initiatives
- Participating in oversight of risk assessments and safety procedures
- Participate in training and supervision opportunities, including additional AMHP shifts if qualified
Candidate Requirements for the Permanent Mental Health Assistant Team Manager
- Level 6 Social Work Degree
- Extensive experience in mental health, funding, Care Act, and Copdols
- Proven skills in staff supervision and practice management
- Knowledge of legislation, HR procedures, health and safety, and anti-discriminatory practice
- Strong ICT skills and commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to foster effective working relationships and manage information for action
