Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking a dedicated Placement Coordinator Social Worker to join its highly regarded Placement Coordination Service. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in securing safe, stable, and high-quality placements that help children and young people achieve the best possible outcomes.
About the RoleThe Placement Coordination Service is a fast-paced, rewarding, and highly collaborative team at the heart of Bradford's Children's Services.
Working under the guidance and support of experienced Team Managers and Service Managers, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and coordinating suitable placements for children referred into the service.
You will work closely with social work teams across the Trust, foster care services, residential providers, commissioning colleagues, and contracts and quality teams to ensure children are placed in environments that meet their individual needs and promote stability, safety, and positive outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker who enjoys relationship-building, problem-solving, and working strategically to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities

- Working collaboratively with internal and external placement providers.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with fostering, residential, and supported accommodation services.
- Liaising with social workers and managers to understand children's needs and placement requirements.
- Ensuring placements are safe, suitable, and provide value for money.
- Supporting placement stability and contributing to positive outcomes for children in care.
- Working alongside commissioning, contracts, and quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of provision.
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience within Children's Social Care.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and partnership-working skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, demand-led environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- A commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
