Are you a dedicated and experienced leader in social care? Service Care Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee a residential facility supporting children and young people aged 6-18 with emotional and behavioural needs. About the Role:
As a Registered Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of a solo residential children's home. You will ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, compliance, and staff development are maintained. The home provides a secure, caring environment for young people with complex needs, enabling them to develop and flourish. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a supportive atmosphere where young people can thrive.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the children's home operations
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff team to deliver outstanding care
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and childcare legislation
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and working collaboratively with external agencies
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, safety, and welfare for young people
- Support continuous improvement and best practice within the home
- Manage budgets, staff rotas, and resource allocation
Candidate Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (highly desirable)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
- At least 12 months in a management or senior supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and relevant legislation
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Passionate about delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes
