Registered Children's Home Manager – Nelson, Lancashire


Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected provider of children's residential care for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a specialist solo home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. The home provides a safe, nurturing environment for one young person aged 6–18 with complex behavioural, emotional and social needs, allowing for highly individualised care and support.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained while creating a positive and supportive environment for both young people and staff.

Requirements
Applicants must have:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (desirable)
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working within children's residential care
  • At least 12 months' experience in a managerial, senior, supervisory or team leader position within a residential care setting
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, children's legislation and safeguarding practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding care and improving outcomes for young people
Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and Right to Work checks in line with safer recruitment practices.
