Are you an experienced leader in children’s residential care looking for your next exciting challenge? Service Care Solutions are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a new, bespoke children’s residential home in Doncaster. This is a fantastic opportunity to build and shape a brand-new facility, making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. The position offers a competitive salary of £54,080 per annum, with an attractive earning potential of up to £64,280 including bonuses.
About the Role
The Registered Manager will be responsible for the successful launch and ongoing management of a 4-bed children’s home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You’ll oversee all aspects of service delivery, compliance, staffing, and resident care, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
Candidate Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the registration and opening of the new children’s home
- Recruiting, developing, and managing a dedicated staff team
- Delivering outstanding care and support aligned with Ofsted standards
- Ensuring full compliance with safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted regulations
- Monitoring budgets, occupancy, and team performance
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
- Building strong relationships with external stakeholders and professionals
- Monitoring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
- Developing a positive environment fostering the safety and well-being of young people
Candidate Requirements
To succeed as a Registered Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step into the role
- Experience in opening and registering new children’s residential homes (desirable)
- Minimum 2–3 years’ leadership experience within children’s residential services
- A strong Ofsted track record with Good or Outstanding outcomes
- Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards it)
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and compliance
- Ability to work independently and lead a stand-alone service
