Are you an experienced social care professional seeking a leadership role where you can make a real difference? Service Care Solutions is recruiting a Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home to lead the reopening of a brand-new solo-bed children's residential service in NW London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to shape a therapeutic environment supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
About the Role
As the Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home, you will oversee the successful re-establishment and registration of the home, ensuring compliance with all Ofsted standards and maintaining exceptional care quality. Working closely with staff, external agencies, and young people, you will foster positive, nurturing, and therapeutic relationships that promote the best outcomes for children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the reopening and registration process of the children's residential home
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and children’s home standards
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing staff team
- Promote positive outcomes and safeguard children and young people
- Maintain rigorous safeguarding and quality assurance practices
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies
- Cultivate a caring, therapeutic, and positive environment within the home
Candidate Requirements
To succeed as the Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home, you should have:
- Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager seeking progression
- 2–3 years’ leadership experience within children’s residential care, particularly in EBD settings
- Proven track record with Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (preferably in progress)
- Strong safeguarding, leadership, and regulatory knowledge
- The ability to create and sustain a positive environment for children and young people
Benefits
- Salary: £52,000 per annum, with earning potential up to £58,600 including bonuses
- £3,000 annual car allowance or a company car package worth £5,400
- Occupancy bonus of £300 per month
- 32 days annual leave including bank holidays, with additional leave for first three years
- Ofsted bonuses: £3,000 for Outstanding, £1,500 for Good ratings
- On-call responsibilities included within salary
- Additional benefits such as sign-up bonus (£150) for new candidates and referral bonus (£200) for successful placements
